Fall Formal Recruitment Guidelines
There are some rules that are to be followed by everyone woman participating in Fall Formal Recruitment, this includes Prospective Members, Chapter Members, Recruitment Counselors, and Recruitment Staff. These rules include, but are not limited to:
- No woman will speak unfavorably of any chapter at the University of Kansas.
- During the week of recruitment, to keep the process the most positive experience for everyone involved, there will be no interaction with men, at parties, at bars, or with alcohol. This will rule will begin 24 hours before the Recruitment starts and 24 hours after recruitment ends.
- Prospective members will attend all recruitment events and activities that are scheduled for them. Class and illness are exceptions to this rule.
- All women currently members of the Panhellenic Association will attend all classes that are during the week of recruitment, and will not skip class to prepare for recruitment.
- Contact with Prospective members and Chapter members will remain on an acquaintance basis and no prospective member or chapter member will give/receive gifts from one or the other.
*The above guidelines must be followed by the Panehllenic chapters, chapter members and prospective members participating in Fall Formal Recruitment. If the guidelines are not followed, Panhellenic will approach the situation on an individual basis. Based on the situation, Panhellenic chapters may receive a recruitment infracion and judicial board meeting, and a Prospective member may be removed from the recruitment process.*
